Equine Assisted Learning Foundations Facilitator Course

This course ‘EAL Foundations Facilitator’ is designed to prepare facilitators to run a flexible Equine Assisted Learning sessions that considers the horse, and teaches social competence skills and mindfulness to children, teenagers and adults. The program focusses on connecting with the horse by practicing kind and compassionate horsemanship skills. This course is not a mental health service, or equine therapy.

Equine Assisted Academy is an approved training provider with the International Institute for Complementary Therapists (IICT).

Our students are eligible for membership with IICT and the additional professional benefits this provides, including insurance.

The course timeline is a 5-day immersion (38 hour face-to-face) and 4 hours online. Totalling 42 hours. After the course is completed a Certificate of Participation is awarded. Certification of EAL Practitioner is optional. In order to certify all of the assessment needs to be completed within 12 months of finishing the course.
